A Message from Rev. Dr. Marcos A. Miranda

For over two decades I have worked in the field of interfaith spiritual care. As a young boy my mother, the Reverend Maria G. Miranda, a pastor and a chaplain herself in the correctional system, taught me that all people, no matter what faith background, or of no faith background at all, were created by God, and so it was our duty to care for them. On my journey through adolescence I dreamed of a world where people of all faiths could work together for the betterment of humanity, and a world where faith leaders could come together and use the authority given to them by God to help the lost, weary and burdened among them. As I grew up, and throughout my years of study, I experienced the best and worst of all faith groups, especially my own--the Christian faith. I saw how religion was used to both help and hurt many. In my case, I got a first hand look at the limitless beauty and wonders of the Christian church, and also how humankind limited those wonders through erroneous teachings and indoctrination. I saw my mother struggle, and on many occasions cry because of the hurt she experienced at the hands of a male dominated field. This should never have been and it should never be. I have spent the last 25 years not only working as a chaplain, pastoring, traveling and studying, but also creating organizations, like New York State Chaplain Task Force, that would fill the various voids in our society revealed to me by God. Voids mostly created by leaders without vision, or in many cases, self-serving leaders who wanted the masses to believe that somehow they were the only ones called by God to do God's Will. This is why I'm so excited about Christian Clergy International--an organization which will equip and empower those of my faith group to live out The Message of Jesus Christ to the fullest. A Message never meant to include such bureaucracy and red tape as we see today. A Message put forth by God to empower all those who desire to do God's Will. And what is God's Will? Although some throughout history have tried to distort and over-complicate it with the use of man-made rules and regulations, it's really quite simple--so simple in fact that most of humanity find it quite difficult to follow. The Will of God is this--that we love Him above all; that we love others the way He loved us, and that we teach others to do the same. It is my hope and my prayer that through Christian Clergy International many will be able to live out their ministerial dreams, while at the same time spreading the love of Jesus Christ to all those they come in contact with. I am looking forward to joining you on your journey!
